Once in Year

In this a season

Of much unreason

At least according to times

I offer some cheer

To sidetrack the fear

Some words, rhythms and rhymes

After the hustle

Recovered from bustle

Each one of us will smile

For once a year does Christmas appear

Then it's gone for a while

So laugh till it hurts

Eat too much food

And enjoy the family crowd

For one day when old

Stories told

One more Christmas

You will hope you're allowed
