Hurricane Gustav and Window Decor

Folks,

I Love this country, but when prices rise due to potential problems it makes me crazy. Come on! A potential threat can raise prices from Orange Juice to Gasoline and everything in between.

Guess what? A Man just cut a tree in Spring, Texas. The price of Wood blinds will rise by 50 percent. NOT SO!!!!

Speculation has gone wild!

Actually we are in a trial period of offering lower prices to our customers. Wood blinds, cellular shades, woven wood shades, roman fold shades, 1" wood, 2 1/2" wood window treatments are currently reduced in price. Think of it this way. We make our living from our customers. We need money and you need window fashions. While trying to profit and be a sustainable enterprise we must make profit, however we realize that each household out there is just like our own. The normal folk (Of which we are) cannot stand anymore price increase. The only option is to stop buying. Gee's did I just say stop buying? I don't want that. You don't want to stop buying either. We both need to give and take. You need great window decor and we have classic wood blinds, honeycomb shades in fabulous colors. Not to mention the Roman Shades that are to die for.

Let's regroup. wbsfactory.com has lowered prices. We hope you will notice and take advantage of the great savings and fine furniture quality wood blinds we have for sell. Custom made products for the finer home everywhere.

Don't worry, that man in Spring,Texas did cut that tree down, but prices are not in danger.

Have a wonderful evening. Blessings to you all!

Window Treatment Terminology

Hey Again!

Folks, have you noticed that no matter what you want to buy or accumulate there are many names for every item out there. This can be unfortunate and sometimes very good as well.

Take Woven Wood Shades for instance. Are they grass shades, natural grass. Roman shades can be match stick shades. Some Roman shades are woven shades roll up and do not fold. At The Wood Blinds and Shutter Factory Online our Roman shades or Woven Wood shades have a fold up. Eco friendly window treatments can mean good for the environment or good for energy savings. Bamboo can be a woven shade or a flat slat window blind. Not to mention reed shades, natural fiber window designs, organic is another name for window fashions. You can look at real wood, faux wood, fake wood, polymer blinds and then you have the fabrics.

What's in name? Well, many great things are all related to differently from one aspect to another.

As always, we suggest you look at everything available. I mean drapes, blinds, wood, faux, shutters, honeycomb cellular shades, woven wood shades, woven grass shades yada, yada, bla, bla bla........

Once decided upon the perfect window covering for your space, then make your purchase with the knowledge that names can change or simply be refrased dependent on the seller, manufacturer and or product supplier.

Think names don't matter? Call for Susan when your sister's name is Suzanne. If you are younger than her and smaller you will know very soon the importance of a name.

Enjoy the weekend,

Why Do We Have Windows?

Here's the deal.

Wbsfactory.com lost a dear friend and neighbor recently. Eugen George or (Gene) as called by many. Gene was a great freind and neighbor of thirteen years. An older gentleman and a kinder more entertaining person you will not find. As normal there are preparations a family must make for this time. Funerals and burials are hard things to arrange and attend.

Point being this. As I watch the events following (thru the slats). One can not help but notice the healing and great family love that just naturally comes from the more difficult times. Kids will play and family will eat and talk. People will help heal one another. God gives this ability through us, though we always tend think we should live forever.

We have windows, because we want to invite the outside in. Blackout shades are great when trying to eliminate annoying light and reduce thermal ratios. Closing the wood blinds tight are a good measure to seclude or just temporarily avoid the outside. Fact is that in the long run, we want to see the surrounding properties. If we did not, we would miss certain opportunities like even the passing of a friend and how the family reacts to such events.

Choose your window fashions carefully and certainly for the need you have, but remember.....outside is good....neighbors can be good...always leave options available for a view thru the slats....or a view thru the top down bottom up.

Blessings to your family Gene and Blessings to our friends and customers as well.

Have the BEST Thursday!

The Perfect Storm

Whew!

Tropical storm Edouard was a sudden creation out of the Gulf of Mexico and let me tell you. Those can sometime be the worst senerio even beyond Hurricanes. We on the Gulf Coast are so thankful that we were spared once again the devastation that has been past history.

T.S. Edouard was actually a blessing for many of as it left behind a nice neat 2 1/2" of much needed rain for the lawns, trees and scrubs.

With any emergency weather issue we have thoughts about being prepared. Please remember that faux wood window blinds are both flame retardant and under light circumstances water resistance. Wood blinds are very reactive to moisture and can warp. Faux wood blinds will take a little more punishment. For institutions such as Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Day Cares, Hotels etc. faux wood window treatments offer many advantages as well as insurance company criteria for public safety concern.

We continue to pray for blessings for all our coastal friends who enjoy the water, but must bare the storm possibilities.

Be safe, be prepared, be praying.

Happy Wednesday,

Big Foot Sightings Decline Due to Cellular Shades

Did You Hear!

Big Foot is BACK! Yep, up state New York says they've had several sightings of the notorious monster. Gosh, I hope he does not hurt anyone. He never really seems to.

Okay! Just poking fun guys. I know the folks in upstate New York have seen something. Honestly, I cannot say it is not a BIG FOOT! I also will not say my brother has not got BIG FEET.

Here's the real deal. Want to see just the neat part of BIG FOOT? Get the your cellular shades and woven wood shades with the top down option. Yes, a little more expensive but well worth the ability to light only the tops of the room without a full picture window view outside or back at you. Top down can also be ordered with bottom up which allows both normal and extra operating performance.

Yes, were picking fun at upstate New Yorkers, but HEY? we here in Texas still look for hitching post when parking. So, we all got our thing. No we do not have oil wells in the back yard. Sure wished we did!

God Bless, Have the best weekend EVER!
