Happy Holidays!

Every year one my friends says they know Halloween is near when the stores begin advertising Christmas sales. We'll that does seem to be the schedule these days and it really can throw us into a hurried tail spin to prepare for all the Holidays at one time. While not a huge supporter of Halloween, I do believe Thanksgiving is a wonderful Hoilday and opportunity to reflect upon all that the we (especially in the United States) have to be thankful for. As Turkey Day is fast closing we naturally turn thoughts to Christmas. Christmas or Christ Mass as once termed is a wonderful time to remember our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who chose to lay down his life for the sins of the world....a sacrefice for all men so that who ever would believe in Him would have eternal life in the Kingdom of God. Though not born on the December date celebrated Jesus is the reason for the season. As a company we to take this time of year to remind all that the Christmas season is drawing near and ordering should be done in advance to allow time for construction of your custom blinds and or shades in time for delivery before the Christmas Holidays. Production and delivery can take 10 - 15 days for the custom products and of course nation wide delivery is slowed this time of year due to the increased shipping volumes. So, whatever you need...be it wood blinds, faux wood, woven shades or the ever increasing popular cellular shades......Please visit the site and order samples today that you might make an informed purchase in time for the familiy gatherings to come this years end.

A last thought about the Thanksgiving meal.....Turkey Coma....that much anticipated but dreaded feeling to encompass one after hours of the aroma and preparation prior to the maybe twenty minute process of devouring the massive meal. Beware! becareful! pace yourselves and remember the eyes are always bigger than the stomach.

Blessings to you this week. Safe passage and may all enjoy this time of celebration.

Window Blind Safety

A little known or considered fact in regards to window covering products. In many applications where window coverings are used in public areas like nursing homes, hospitals, day care or schools one should inquire if a flame retardant product is required. Many times local law and or insurance mandates that only a flame retardant product be utilized.

In the event you are faced with this issue do not be alarmed. Faux wood blinds are available in flame retardant form. Our 2" Value blinds are flame retardant and perfect for this requirement. Now, flame retardant means the product is not combustible. Almost any item will burn when exposed to extreme temperatures, but the concern here is normally that the product you place in restricted areas will not ignite by a low temperature ignition source.

Finally an answer to insurance issues that is actually going to cost you less instead or more. Sometimes good things still happen.

Enjoy and becareful if traveling for the upcoming Hoilday.

Home Sales

One of todays biggest topics has got to be home sales. The failing home market seems to be dominating the news media and local gossip nation wide. While there is no doubt home sales are slower and will remain so until prices come down and or financing restaints are lowered once again, I wish to remind all that selling at at a lower price market can also give way to buying in a lower cost market. The one issue that remains constant is the home in it's self. The condition of the home and it's curb appeal are factors that will remain viable regardless of the market.

One of the lowest cost changes that can be made to a home are new blinds. Not only do they grab the buyers attention from the inside, but also the curb appeal that new clean white and even stained blinds can draw from the public passing by are definite advantages. White blinds and even cellular shades can offer a clean fresh crisp look to any tired home. Drive around your neighborhood and pay close attention to the other homes window decor. You may be surprised to notice how many are dated or just not bright. By simply adding some inexpensive white window treatments your property can stand out from the others on the block. White blinds are available in real wood, faux wood custom and even faux wood express (cheap Blinds) as sometimes considered, but let me tell you they are still a fine product and in white they will most certainly brighten the home.

Thanks for your time and remember next week is most certainly the time to give Thanks. Thanksgiving, usually the longest Holiday and most traveled can sometimes be done and over before we realize we have so much to be thankful for.

Ordering for the Holidays

Remember, the holidays are coming! Thanksgiving is almost upon us and Christmas won't be far behind. Manufacturing of your custom made wood and faux wood products can run five to seven days and shipping via ground service will add a few more days. Ten to fifteen business days in normal anywhere in the continental United States. Keep in mind that Woven Woods can run an extra one or two days. Custom products are not shelf ready for same day shipping and therefore when ordering for the Holidays it is best to remember the time frame you are allowing. Another consideration is the increase in shipping times during these high traffic Holidays. Many freight service companies will experience extremely high volumes which can delay shipments or at least stretch the number of days for delivery to the maximum. Our suggestion is just like the dinner, guest arrangements and all the other functions to deal with at the Holiday time....Be certain to order in advance!

Have a great day!
